Anger is a normal part of being human. Big emotions are sometimes difficult for children to handle and that's where the Anger Dragon comes in. It provides students with an opportunity to take control of their big emotions and get their needs met in a positive way. Join in as we learn strategies for handling those big emotions in positive ways such as through the use of visualization, relaxation, positive imagery, playing games, sensory activities, listening to music and guided listening...
Students will be able to learn anger management strategies that can be used in their lives!
I am offering this class as a response to a request for more anger dragon classes. I am a licensed 7-12th grade teacher in language arts in the state of PA, however I have worked with Special Education students mostly since 2011. Many of the classrooms I have worked in are emotional support-based. I have also worked in the mental health field since 2001. I am also an early intervention specialist and I have worked with special needs adults and their families in learning coping skills since 2016. I have experience with anger management workshops and kids groups and love sharing this knowledge with others!

The teacher will provide all materials! If there is an experiment or demonstration, these are optional and the materials will be provided a week before the experiment is completed, in the classroom forum.

This class is designed to help students learn to understand how their body responds to big emotions and offers fun, interactive strategies to help students learn to manage their emotions. The ingredients for the activities are designed to be easy to access through items found in the household. They are adaptable and optional for participation. Some items might be irritating to the skin such as dish soap, baking soda, and vinegar or require adult supervision (cutting,pasting and mixing).
