課堂經歷
Learners will explore the properties of polymer clay by mixing colors and creating the textures to make a miniature taco charm. We'll begin class with a discussion about what experience they have with the material and how they might create the colors and textures. We will have ongoing discussions and provide each other with feedback as we work. We will end the class with a celebration of what we learned and show our finished miniatures. Students will have the opportunity to ask any final questions they have. As a note, I am happy to teach to single learners and I do not cancel due to low enrollment.

-Polymer clay (Yellow, brown, green, red, and white) -A ceramic baking dish to bake the polymer clay -Pepper (to give the taco shell texture) (Optional) -Polymer clay glaze or Mod Podge -Headpins (if the learner wants to turn this into a charm and turn it into jewelry)

I have been creating polymer clay jewelry and miniatures for over a decade. My approach is to show learners the basics and then let them add their own unique spin to it to create their own design. I find that students have great success through exploring the properties of a medium and then making creative choices in how to apply those properties artistically. I have taught art in a variety of settings to a wide range of ages for nearly 20 years with sculpture as a particular area of focus. 評論
