During our class session, the participants will learn to draw something new and exciting each class through guided drawing. Each guided drawing will remain a surprise step by step through the art process, allowing students to try and discover what they are drawing. The majority of the class session will be spent participating in the directed drawing, but we will also have time to share the individual drawings, if desired. Each class session is a unique and single drawing, and it does not build on itself through multiple sessions. For the class sessions prior to January 1st, they will be winter themed (including Christmas themes until December 25th)

Welcome! My name is Ashley James, and I am a teacher at a school in California! I have a Bachelor's in Liberal Studies with an emphasis/minor in Music, as well as a Master's in Education for cross cultural teaching.
I have taught for 10+ years in the public schools, from Early Admission Kindergarten through 12th grade in varying capacities. I have taught elementary general education topics as well as newcomers (for English as a Second Language Learners) in 6th-12th grade. I believe that every child can learn, as long as you find something they are passionate about!
Not only am I experienced in the educational realm, but I have a strong passion for reading and sharing that passion with students. Many of the classes I will be teaching here on Outschool will be fun for the kids to review and learn more facts about some of their favorite movies, books and book series, including:

*Hunger Games Series
*Selection Series
*Disney Movies and Music
