Hello everyone! This is a one-on-one class for beginning reading (PreK-1st grade level) whether that be a child who is struggling, on-level, or advanced for their age. It is very positive and engaging with a variety of activities and movement such as songs and games. I first assess where your child is and then go from there to get your child to the next level with a systematic approach while assessing his/her progress along the way. We work on blending, decoding, sight words, and phonics, but I always make sure we spend time actually reading. We read engaging texts such as the  Usborne Very First Reading series which the kids love because of the wonderful illustrations and because I read one page with harder words and then they get to read the next page which is at their level.
