This fun and engaging Spanish immersion camp is perfect for learners who attend a dual language program and would like to keep practicing over the summer, or students who will be entering a dual language program in the fall and want a jump start! We will read, play games, do math problems, look at silly pictures and use Spanish speaking and listening! Camp weeks are described below: Week 1 (June 4-6) Mismatch/silly socks week! Week 2 (June 11-13) Safari Animals! Week 3 (June 18-20) Super Heroes! Week 4 (June 25-27) Wacky Week! Week 5 (July 2 *NO CLASS July 4*) All About Me! Week 6 (July 9-11) Insects! Week 7 (July 16-18) Guessing Games! Week 8 (July 23-25) Amazing Animals! Week 9 (July 30-August 1) Detectives! Week 10 (August 6-8) Silly Stories! Week 11 (August 13-15) Ocean Adventures! Week 12 (August 20-22) Around the World! This is a subscription class, so you can start and stop at any time. If you will miss a week for vacation, just message me and I’ll happily refund the week so you don’t lose your spot in class!

I’m Nicole and I taught in the local public school system for several years! I was certified to teach Spanish, English, and Special Education K-12 and taught Spanish levels 1 through AP and English classes in general and self-contained classrooms. I left the public school system to homeschool my three children - ages 7, 10 and 12 - and together we learn and explore! I've traveled to Honduras and to Spain and I love teaching Spanish, language/grammar and culture! I also have extensive experience with special needs and work part time as a family consultant to families with children with Autism in Maryland.
I believe that understanding the mechanics of language is absolutely essential in good writing and in second-language acquisition. I especially enjoy teaching early reading/phonics/phonemic awareness, English grammar and Spanish grammar! I teach Spanish immersion classes where we are constantly laughing and learning and social skills groups where students develop relationships with peers around the world!
