課堂經歷
During this summer camp, students will learn the basics of hand embroidery. They will learn basic embroidery stitches such as: - The running stitch - The backstitch - Threaded backstitch - French Knots They will also learn how to: - Trace their design onto their fabric - Properly hoop their fabric - Embellish their design with seed beads or sequin if they like NOTE* Students grasp the fundamentals of hand embroidery at various speeds so there is a possibility that your student may not finish the in-class project by day 5 and will need to continue the project on their own after the camp is over.

Students may need parental guidance with threading and knotting their needles.

Students will need: - A medium to large embroidery hoop - Embroidery floss in a variety of colors - Hand embroidery needles - 1/2 yard of fabric to cut up and hoop that has a tightly woven weave such as cotton, linen, or a polyester blend - Sequins and seed beads (optional) - Pencil, Frixon pens, or disappearing ink fabric marking pens
