In this self-paced, asynchronous course, you’ll dive into the science of stress and learn powerful strategies to manage it. We'll explore how stress affects your body and mind, why hormones like cortisol and adrenaline kick into high gear, and how you can take control of stress before it takes control of you.

The course covers the pathophysiology of stress, including how the nervous system reacts to stress, the mental and emotional toll it takes, and the long-term impact of chronic stress. You'll also learn healthy habits for reducing stress, such as mindfulness techniques, exercise, and creative outlets, all while creating your personalized stress-busting plan.

Ideal for older kids and teens interested in becoming doctors, nurses, or other health professionals, this course offers hands-on learning and key insights into medicine and the human body. Start your healthcare journey today by understanding the science behind stress management!

The class is structured with engaging slides, videos, interactive worksheets, and real-life case studies, making learning both fun and insightful. My teaching style is student-centered, with a focus on practical application. Although this course is asynchronous, you’ll have access to me via messaging for questions, feedback, or extra guidance. You’ll also complete interactive activities like a personalized stress management plan and challenges to apply what you've learned to your daily life.
