1. The story Peanut Butter and Jellyous will be read to the class. 2. Questions will be asked throughout the reading to check for understanding. 3. There will be opportunities for vocabulary, phonics, English language arts, and interaction. 4. Students will express an opinion about the book read out loud. 5. The students will make a connection between the text and themselves. I believe in a very happy classroom where students feel comfortable sharing their opinions with the group. It is through learning together, we strengthen our understanding of each other. This is an excellent book to connect with other students.

1. Demonstrate understanding of the organization and basic features of print.
2. Recognize that spoken words are represented in written language by specific sequences of letters.
