Young students will get introduced to circuits in this class while playing with popsicle sticks. This class is all about having fun and engaging in learning about simple circuits and simple electronic components. Students will build a simple popsicle stick Christmas tree ornament with some basic electronic components and office supplies. Once complete their ornament's lights will be controlled with a binder clip as it hangs on a Christmas tree! This class should only last about 30 minutes and students should have all their supplies at the start of class. Extra time in the class are for any students that may need extra help completing their ornament for their Christmas tree!

This craft uses a watch type coin cell battery and simple LED lights. Many of my students have enjoyed this craft STEM project; for any parent concerns please use caution before using with any holiday decorations.
