STEM: How Do Plants Absorb Water? (Ages 7-11) During this class, students will learn how plants absorb water and be able to observe how the cabbage changes colors as it drinks the water. We will spend the first 5 minutes of class allowing students to introduce themselves with their peers and teacher. Next, we will discuss how plants absorb water. Students will be able to interact with each other while creating their rainbow jars for their cabbage plants. Once we complete our project, each student will be giving an observation book to take notes over the next few days to see what happens to their cabbage plants.
