Day One:  
Experiment One: 20 Gummy bears (for experimentation and comparison…and maybe an extra pack for snacking)-any brand any color
A small glass/plastic cup for each water/solution-7 in total - fill halfway with water
Baking soda 1 tablespoon
Sugar 1 tablespoon
Salt 1 tablespoon
Soda-half of a plastic cup, any variety
Vinegar - half of a plastic cup, any variety
Milk - half of a plastic cup, any variety
Water - half of a plastic cup, bottled or tap
Paper towels
Spoon or fork to remove gummy bears on day two
Paper/Pen

Experiment Two - 100 small jelly beans and 100 toothpicks

Day Two: 1 container to test the buoyance of fruit/vegetables. Containers can be plastic cups, large measuring cups, or a bucket to fit the following fruit: whole apple, whole orange, single grape, single baby carrot, single cherry or Roma tomato, and one other of your choice-for example cherry, strawberry, pear, lemon...
Container need to be filled half to 3/4 filled with water-we will do this in class.
I will post a student packet in the classroom prior to class containing activities and an observation sheet-please print.
Crayons, pencil, markers to record findings please
Probably want a towel or paper towel on hand for wet hand or possible spills or splashes. 

Day Three: 1 gallon sized zipping plastic storage bag filled 1/3 of way with water
5-7 newly sharpened wooden, not mechanical pencils
water beads
bowl of water
ruler with mm
4-6 mason jars - we will fill with water
two bamboo skewers or metal spoons
Food coloring
Dish soap
1/2 tsp of black pepper
shallow round baking dish or bowl
pitcher of water to use for experiments

Day Four: small cookie sheet (a large piece of cardboard can work as a substitute)
three or four containers of playdough - homemade is okay, yet store bought tends to be more firm
five to six marbles
eight paper cups
masking tape and scissors to cut tape
craft sticks, like popsicle sticks can be used for additional support, can help with possible frustration

Day Five: 
Experiment One - colored mini-marshmallows
chocolate chips
*If any allergies or trouble getting the items, you need three different colored items. Could be candies, raisins, M&M's, peanuts, blueberries and more.
**Quantity of items based on atom the students choose to represent

Experiment Two - 3 large wine glasses OR 3 medium size mason jars
cooking oil, about 1/2 cup for each of the three glasses or jars
water about 1/3 cup for 
food coloring - three different colors
3 effervescent antacid tablets
spoon
paper towels

A student packet will be posted on the classroom portal a day of two prior to the class start date.

We are using some items that can be a safety risk, and will discuss safe usage during the class.
Students will use scissors, skewers, effervescent tablets, and vinegar parental oversight is recommended. 
Suggested substitute items are recommended in the case of allergies.
