Personalized Feedback and Guidance: Each student will receive individualized feedback on their zoo design, budget, and presentations to support their learning and growth.Digital Project Materials: Students will have access to downloadable templates and resources for each stage of the project, including habitat design sheets, budget templates, and presentation guidelines. Certificate of Completion: At the end of the course, each student will receive a certificate celebrating their hard work and achievements in creating their zoo. In this 3-week interactive class, students will dive into a hands-on, project-based learning experience where they’ll design their own zoo, integrating math, science, art, and critical thinking skills. Each week, we’ll focus on specific steps—from naming the zoo and selecting animals to designing habitats and managing a budget. Classes are structured with mini-lessons, creative activities, and guided discussions, all designed to make learning fun and relevant. My teaching style is energetic and student-centered, encouraging questions, collaboration, and real-world connections. Learners will interact with me throughout each session as we discuss ideas, work through challenges, and share progress, ensuring that each student feels supported and engaged in bringing their unique zoo vision to life!

Explore Interdisciplinary Connections in STEAM: Students will discover how science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) work together in real-world projects, fostering an appreciation for interdisciplinary learning.

Assessment:
Students will submit a list of animals with explanations, assessed on logical reasoning and connection to the animals' characteristics.

Designing Animal Habitats
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.MD.A.3: Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real-world problems.
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.4.2: Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas. Habitat designs will be assessed on correct use of area and perimeter, clarity in design, and an accompanying written explanation describing the habitat.

Poster Board or Construction Paper – Optional, for creating a larger presentation display of the final zoo project.
