In this one time class, students will learn how to start their own password protected database of passwords using the password manager KeePass. I chose KeePass because it is a free and open source application that I personally use to manage close to 100 of my own passwords. The goal is for students to learn how to use KeePass to create and store 1-5 of their own passwords.
Students will only need to download the application on their computers in order to follow along with the class.

Keepassx is a free and open source application that does not collect any user data and also does not require the user to create an account. There is no privacy policy for Keepassx so there is no need to worry about how the program is using the data.
