Do your learners often try to make their Jedi powers grow but have a hard time knowing why the force is not entirely with them? In this one-time course, I will assist your young Jedi in becoming the Jedi masters they are destined to be; we will go over emotions using star wars characters to help us figure out what emotions are and what are some Jedi mind tricks we can utilize to cope with the feelings they are feeling. Jedi are welcome to come dressed in their best star wars outfits or characters and help fight the dark side away from true greatness. The force will always be with you. How this class is run: The emotion being talked about is identified and talked about by the teacher, kids are welcome to give times they felt this emotion. Then a video clip showing the star wars characters engaging in that emotion is shown. After the video clip, the teacher and children talk about coping skills for that emotions. This class is interactive the learner will get to share coping skills that they could use to help personalize their coping skills to help manage emotions more effectively. Hello, my name is Olivia, but you can call me Liv! I have my Bachelors Degree from Mary Baldwin University in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Studies. Currently I have left working in the field of ABA and teaching in SPED to homeschool my 3 children. I was also a Firefighter and EMT, saving lives and fighting fires for 8 years. I love teaching about fire safety and first aid and CPR.
Outside of work and school, I am the ultimate nerd, which is why I love teaching using things that I know I am passionate about, which are all things Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, honestly, the list can go on forever. But I bring these interests to my teaching to make learning fun to the student so they want to engage in learning.
I am a Slytherin with a Hufflepuff heart and love sharing my nerdy passions with my students, especially my closest students, my 3 children! I can't wait to see you in class!評論
