In this class students will have fun talking about Spring flowers and making them. Students will have opportunity to paint, glue, and rip paper; when we are finished they will have made a beautiful Spring garden. In this class it would be helpful if the student's camera was placed so that I could assist them if needed; some students may need a parent nearby off camera to help them. Students will receive instruction; as well as, being able to see examples. They will be encouraged to be creative and use their own ideas, too.

5 sections of an egg carton cut apart 1 piece of green construction paper/cardstock 2 squares of yellow construction paper/cardstock (2.5 x 2.5 in.) Paint brush Yellow paint (I used acrylic, but any paint that will cover the egg carton is great!) 1-3 other colors of paint for their flowers Tray to pour their paint White glue

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
