This class is designed for students who want to improve their spelling and handwriting skills with other kids who know ASL. The focus of this class is to apply the ASL manual alphabet to engage your child's brain in a different way while they're practicing spelling. The class format will be highly interactive both student-teacher and peer-peer. Each week, I will provide students with a theme/topic based word list. Class time will be spent practicing spelling the words together and...
- Students will improve fine motor skills for handwriting and the ASL manual alphabet, and will increase their spelling memorization capabilities.
I am certified to teach American Sign Language, I taught levels one, two, and three in public high school for seven years before deciding to stay home after my first child was born. Now I homeschool my own kids and use these same tools with them.
