In this weekly life skills class, students with special needs will meet to practice and learn important life skills for better success while out in the community. Some topics will include: Ordering from a menu, Grocery sorting, Problem solving emergencies, Kitchen safety, Time management, Budgeting (Do I have enough money?), Having appropriate phone conversations & appropriate texting responses. Rules of the Road, Chores and more! Week of 4/14 Topic: Practice ordering from a menu Week of 4/21 Topic: Let's sort groceries Week of 4/28 Topic: What is considered an emergency and what should we do Week of 5/5 Topic: Street & Safety signs

These sessions are designed to support the unique learning needs of students with special needs. All of the teachers have a special education background and will tailor the sessions to the language and social abilities of the students.
