I utilize a COMPARATIVE approach, NOT an immersion-style approach, so you can expect that I will speak both in English and Spanish to be sure that you thoroughly understand the concept by the end of the session. I've found that immersion style instruction, especially when offered infrequently (30 minutes twice/week, for example) is less effective and more frustrating for students who want to learn! I cover the concept in English AND in Spanish to help students really grasp the grammar concept. Like math, language concepts build off one another so the better foundation and understanding students achieve, the more language acquisition! Once students unlock grammar, understanding, vocabulary, oral and auditory skills also improve!
