Help fill in the gaps and improve understanding with individual support! Give the gift that keeps on giving and help your child catch up or get ahead before heading back to school! Available to help with any level of Spanish from elementary school through high school and college. Some areas to improve may include: grammar concepts - present tense, present progressive tense, present perfect tense, near future (ir+a+infinitive), past tenses, future tense, conditional tense, command forms, subjunctive tense, speaking, writing, etc.! I provide instruction in English language and/or Spanish language! Give your learner a thorough understanding of how the languages are similar and different! Improve grammar and be ready to tackle the next grade level next year! Don’t forget Spanish during winter break and start back rusty in January! Practice language skills, ask questions and get ahead! Feel free to message me directly with questions and to help make the experience the most worthwhile for your learner! Siblings can work together 1:2 if they are learning at the same level.

I’m Nicole and I taught in the local public school system for several years! I was certified to teach Spanish, English, and Special Education K-12 and taught Spanish levels 1 through AP and English classes in general and self-contained classrooms. I left the public school system to homeschool my three children - ages 7, 10 and 12 - and together we learn and explore! I've traveled to Honduras and to Spain and I love teaching Spanish, language/grammar and culture! I also have extensive experience with special needs and work part time as a family consultant to families with children with Autism in Maryland.
I believe that understanding the mechanics of language is absolutely essential in good writing and in second-language acquisition. I especially enjoy teaching early reading/phonics/phonemic awareness, English grammar and Spanish grammar! I teach Spanish immersion classes where we are constantly laughing and learning and social skills groups where students develop relationships with peers around the world!
