高中生西班牙語班

This is a semester course.  It will be taught once per week. There is no need to have any prior knowledge of Spanish to take this class.  Depending on the topic, students will be taught using power point presentations, the Zoom Whiteboard, writing, reading short sentences and practicing conversations, drawing and coloring, there will be word repetition to listen to their pronunciation.   There will be 12 graded worksheets, that will make 80% of the grade and a final exam at the end of the course that will be 20% of the grade.  This course has a letter grade.

 Here is description of each meeting.
Meeting
1.  The alphabet and basic vocabulary.  In this meeting the students will learn the Spanish alphabet and how to read in Spanish.
2. Vocabulary of Numbers from 1-100 and telling time and time expressions.  
3. Vocabulary for greetings and the conjugation of present tense of the verb 'to be.'  (Verbo Ser).
4.  Vocabulary and expressions for the days of the week, months of the year and the seasons.
5.  Vocabulary of Food and simple conversations for going to the store and the restaurant.
6.  The conjugation of the Present tense of the verb to be.  Verbo Estar and vocabulary of places.
7.  The conjugation of the present tense of the verb to have and vocabulary of school supplies.
8.  Vocabulary and conversations about Hobbies and verbs in the infinitive form.
9.  Review of the conjugation of the present tense of the verb to have and vocabulary of the family.
10. The conjugation of the present tense of regular ar verbs.
11.  The conjugation of the present tense of the verb to go.  (Verbo Ir).  This is an irregular verb in the present tense.
12.  The conjugation of the present tense of regular er and ir verbs.  These verbs have a similar conjugation, so they will be taught in the same session.
13.  Review of verb conjugations.
14.  Vocabulary review and Final Test.
