4 Days of Learning About Space! Day 1-Planets! Learn about them. How many? What are their names? What do they look like? Day 2-Rockets & Space Shuttles! Learn how they work. Day 3-Astronauts! Learn about a few & what it’s like to be one. Day 4-The Moon! Learn about the moon landing & the astronauts that first made it there. (Buzz Aldrin is my favorite astronaut. Who is yours?) We will do a quick planet review each day. We will be looking at books, props, videos, and having fun! Have a question? Don’t be afraid to ask. My classes are a little more laid back. We follow a structure, but we leave time for questions. All slides and pages shown in class will be available to download in the classroom. No knowledge of space or planets is required. Can’t read? No problem. We will go over everything in class.

Hello!
I'm Melanie. I have 2 small kiddos of my own, and a spoiled cat. We love road trips, the library, our local zoo, food, and movie nights. I homeschool my children, and I believe in learning through play.
I have been teaching for 13 years, if you include my teaching assistant days. I have experience teaching children ages 0-12. I currently teach English to students in China, and it's so much fun. I've also worked with magazines and websites, since 2007. I write articles, take photos, and produce videos.
I have a degree in business, with a concentration in psychology and social services. I also have a degree in advanced automotive technology. I love working on cars, and I'm a big believer in STEAM learning.
