This class will teach you the ins and outs of art journaling- how to take song lyrics and turn them into an ongoing work of art. This class will explore new topics each week in regards to scrapbooking techniques, drawing techniques, sketching techniques, mixed media collage techniques and more! This class will also explore the metaphors and imagery behind song lyrics. Content for each class is stand alone and does not build so students can feel free to join in on the fun at anytime! Week One: mixed media & allegory Week Two: pen&ink drawing & symbolism Week Three: watercolors/markers & imagery Week Four: stickers & repetition Week Five: color theory and Album Work

Students will need a blank art journal/notebook/sketchbook. Students may bring some, any, or all of the following art supplies to use-- stickers, markers, watercolors, acrylic or gauche paints, pencils, pens, magazines, glitter, etc.
