In this course, learners will get to know each other by discussing and sharing their favorite parts of Minecraft! In addition, they will complete weekly build challenges that are decided each week by the students and suggestions are given for the following week. The build challenges are student-led and decided upon. Students will each have an opportunity to share their builds with the class and reflect. This is a great opportunity for students to share what they are doing in the game in...
Learners will collaborate with other Minecraft gamers to share strategies and experiences from the game. Learners will share their Minecraft experiences, knowledge, and expertise in a detailed and descriptive way. Showing is better than simply telling.
Device they use for Minecraft. It does not matter if it is Bedrock or Java.

Minecraft can be violent if the settings are not properly set. Parents should be advised of these settings and should become familiar with them. The class will be taught in a way where learners are encouraged to communicate their settings and get approval from parents before entering a game. Parents should also be advised that children are able to communicate with each other in game and that is where digital safety will be emphasized and these settings should also be discussed between parents and children.
