課堂經歷
Students will begin class by talking about social norms and briefly discuss “unwritten rules of behavior” that are considered acceptable in a group or society. There will be 45 minutes of semi-structured conversation about a variety of topics. For example, we may discuss our differences, abilities, school, life, and various hobbies! Students may also participate in social ice-breakers, minor debates, and academic and/or social skills games. The ultimate goal of this time spent together is to talk freely and appropriately, feel safe and comfortable sharing conversation, and learn and appreciate our differences. Because this class is intended to be a social skills class, if there are less than three students, class will be cancelled or students will be transferred to another section where they can interact with others.
