This is a fun ongoing social skills class for girls on the autism spectrum or with special needs.  In this class, we  will use conversation starters (games, conversation cards etc) to help kids engage in conversation and share common interests.  We will be working on skills such as turn taking, keeping conversation flowing,  staying on topic, listening and speaking skills....all while having fun and making friends! 
Week of  August 21st - let’s chat about our interests and things we like to do for fun. What do you like to do for fun? What are your hobbies and interests? 
Week of August 28th - asking questions to get to know one another. What are some appropriate questions to ask when we want to learn more about a new friend?  
Week of September 4th- Let’s chat about our favorite things.  What are your favorite movies? Books to read? Games to play? 
Week of September 11th- Let’s chat about the people in your family.  Tell us about your family …and don’t forget to talk about your pets too!
