This is the second class a three part series to cover formal writing techniques for beginners. *Learners must have completed Level 1 or have permission from the teacher.* Students will learn how to take notes with key word outlines, write their own fables from outlines, and author narrative stories with story sequence charts. The main goal is for all students to gain a foundational writing process and stylistic elements to guide them in getting their thoughts on paper in an organized manner. These skills will help students grow towards more challenging writing assignments with improved confidence.
I have been teaching formal writing methods in our homeschool and in co-ops for the past four years. I've had the privilege of coming alongside students as they find their written voice using the skills they have gained.
