Singers will learn about the vocal anatomy and healthy singing habits. They will learn to control their pitch, develop a good sense of rhythm, find and work on their range and, learn new songs. Students will also learn how to read, sing and recognize scales, chords and rhythmic notation. Besides the academic aspect of music education, students will also learn to kindle their love for music and use art to navigate through hardship.  

Véronique Duguay has been teaching for the past 9 years. She holds a college degree in performing arts as a Jazz Singer and is currently completing a BA. in musical education. As a contestant on the 2019 edition of The Voice Canada (La Voix), she has hands-on experience with professional performances, audition preparation and vocal training. Véronique was a choir director in a high school for 3 years and has been giving musical initiation classes to kids ranging from 3 to 17 years old. She is currently following the Estill Voice Training program in order to get certified as an Estill Master Trainer.

1-2 hours of practice a week is recommended. The teacher will send singers audio recording suited for their needs as well as audio recording for their song choice.

Teacher will log the student's progress and will provide a written report when necessary. Once a song is deemed complete, singers will be asked to perform a song as if they were on a stage. The teacher will share comments and tips for improvements.
