每週 1 小時. After each class a summary of what was taught and a weekly assignment will be given. Students should practice a minimum of 1 hour a week, usually I recommend 4, 15 minute sessions. However, the more they practice, the quicker they will see results. I am happy to provide more homework for students preparing for competitions or auditions who are in need of acing the sight-reading/ ear-training portion of their program.評估

Is your student a vocalist that loves to sing and wants to be more involved in community or school singing performances? Or do they want to learn how to write their own songs, and or sing and play an instrument at the same time, but lack the skills needed to sight-read or match pitch easily to songs they do not know as well? Or are they preparing for a competition or audition that requires a sight-singing exam? If so, this class was designed with them in mind. This course is specific to learning how to read music, hear harmonics, and understand musical theory concepts that will be necessary for any singer that also wants to play an instrument ( guitar or piano) to sing along with, or who wants to increase their songwriting skills, or who wants to pursue choir or theater auditions or competitions at the middle-school and high-school level. Though the basic weekly topic and structure is laid out in the syllabus, there will be some variety based upon your learner's specific needs. Ie. if they play piano and know how to read the Treble Clef, we would spend less time on that, and more time singing the notes we see and hear. Some students may need more time with the visual practice, others with the audio practice. It will be slightly tailored to your student's needs.

Ear-training, Intervals and Matching Pitch

* Specific To This Class*
As a Florida Music Educator, I assisted my 13 year old daughter in learning these skills to pass her auditions for All State Choir for 2024. She was one of two in her school that passed all three levels of the audition process and was invited to perform in the All State Choir performance featuring the best singers from every middle-school in the state of Florida. In addition to that, I personally trained from the ages of 13-18 in these skills which later aided me as I went on to achieve a vocal scholarship to study voice.
*General Professional Summary*
Anne Martin began her career as a singing at the age of 13, recorded 3 CD's before her 21st birthday and has sung in several professional choirs, musical theater productions, and special events in multiple states across the US over the course of the last 25 years. She graduated with a degree in Music with a focus in Voice, and has been teaching music for over 10 years, both privately and in the Florida Public Schools.
Since earning her degree, she has also received the Voice Teacher Certification from New York Vocal Coaching after training 50 hours with renowned founder Justin Stoney.
She currently resides in Florida and has appeared twice at the Tampa Bay Rays stadium to sing the National Anthem, has been in productions at both Manatee and Sarasota Players Theaters, was a member of Sarasota's professional Choral Artists, and in 2021 sang in Epcot's Candlelight Processional at Walt Disney World.
In addition to those solo endeavors, she has been singing around the state for special events with her husband since 2018 and they are known as "The Martin Duo". They work as voice-over artists for Worldbook where she can be heard voicing several characters for children's graphic novel audiobooks.
