課堂經歷
In this ongoing class, students will practice communicating their thoughts and feelings by sharing an item centered around the topic of the week and build their social skills. Students will take turns in sharing their object they brought and elaborate by using the discussion questions provided by the teacher prior to the class. The teacher will begin each class by sharing her object that relates to the topic in order for students to get to know their teacher more but also to be an example. The goal of this class is to build up students' confidence and to develop their communication skills. This class will be a positive and warm environment for children to share their ideas while also listening to others. Students do not need prior knowledge or experience in order to participate in this class. Here is an example of discussion questions the teacher would send prior to the class for students to prepare for show and tell. Topic: Pet or a pet you would like to have Discussion Questions: What kind of animal is your pet? What is your pet's name? Does your pet know any tricks? What is your favorite thing to do with your pet? Class Schedule: Week 1 Topic: Favorite animal Week 2 Topic: Favorite toy Week 3 Topic: Pet or a pet you would like to have Week 4 Topic: Best friend Week 5 Topic: Hobby Week 6 Topic: Family members Future weeks will be determined.

Hello there, my name is Mrs. Emma!
I am so excited for the opportunity to teach online and to get to know you and your family! I teach social classes, music, and ELA classes. I earned a degree in education, early childhood through 6th grade, and have been working with children over 4 years through teaching. I taught my church's youth group music and how to work as a team to create music. I currently co-lead the adult worship team at my church every week as a guitarist, lead singer, and background vocals. I participated in public school choir for 8 years, including performing with the All-Region choir. Over the past 9 years, I have played guitar and piano.
My teaching style involves asking questions in order to interact and engage students with the content. Discussion-based learning is what to expect from each class. I strive to create a welcoming and positive classroom environment!
Education and Experience:
In 2017, I earned my Associate of Arts degree at Brazosport College. I graduated from University of Houston-Clear Lake earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Early Childhood-6th). In 2019, I worked as a teacher's aide at a preschool and later in the year worked at a daycare. During these jobs, I worked with children ages 2-8. While completing my Bachelors degree, I worked as a substitute teacher for my district for grades preschool through 8th grade.
