課堂經歷
In this class the student will learn the skills needed for public speaking. Students will learn to be an active listener as well as an active speaker. Come to class with your favorite toy and present three things you like about your toy. Some ideas would be 1) Where you got your toy 2) What you like about it 3) What do you like to do with it. If the student would like to add anything else he or she is welcome to. After one student presents each student will have a chance to ask any questions or share what they liked about the presenters toy.

Students will improve on public speaking skills as well as being an active listener. Students will also learn to take turns speaking and presenting as well as preparing ideas to share in class. This on-going class allows the students to keep practicing and improving on their skills each week.

I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, as well as TESOL certification for teaching English as a second language to students K-6. I have experience both in the classroom and out. My first experience in the classroom was working in a 2nd grade English class. From there, my passion for teaching led to many different avenues. I spend a lot of time homeschooling my son, who has opened a whole new world of learning.
I believe every student has not only the ability to learn but, should be given the opportunity to learn at their own pace. Learning should be both memorable and fun!
