In this class we will work together to sew a costume for 18" dolls. Day 1: Picking your fabric - we will discuss types of fabric and what fabrics are appropriate for this project. We will be preparing our pattern this day as well. Students will need to purchase (or otherwise source) the fabric for their project between day 1 and day 2. Day 2: Cutting your pattern - will will work together to cut our pattern/fabric. We will be discussing grains and directional patterns. Day 3-5: Sewing...
Students will have a better understanding of fabrics, patterns (and instructions) and basic sewing methods after finishing this class.

Students will need to have access to a working sewing machine for this class. The instructor will be using an older version of this machine: https://amzn.to/2XtCcsY Students are responsible for knowing how to turn on, and thread their spacific machine prior to beginning class. If you need help with these steps often craft store employees (who you can meet with personally) and/or youtube videos are of great assistance. Please let the instructor know prior to class if you are still struggling and we will find a way to help.
