This class focuses on the crucial first step of writing sentences, which sets the foundation for your child's success in school. Children who can effectively express their thoughts in basic sentences are better equipped to develop cohesive paragraphs and multi-paragraph writing in the future. In this class, your student will have an enjoyable time focusing on four key components of sentence writing: OVERVIEW: - Welcome & Introductions - Course goal/objective - Subject & predicate - Sentence expansion activity- whole group - Student sentence writing- group & individual - Sharing Sentences - Class conclusion Materials: Most activities will be done in an interactive way utilizing games, chants and engaging activities. In addition, each student should bring the materials listed below to class: - pencil - eraser - lined paper - whiteboard and whiteboard marker
