*Prior knowledge is required before taking this course!* Students must know the basics of sentence diagramming. Students must have an understanding of how to set up a sentence diagram. They must know how to diagram modifiers, such as adjectives, adverbs, and prepositional phrases. Students should understand predicate adjectives, predicate adverbs, direct objects, and indirect objects. If students have taken my first sentence diagramming course, they are ready for this one! Students will learn how to diagram: - interjections - nouns of direct address - questions - implied "you" - passive verbs - adverb, adjective, and noun clauses - verbals Students will learn how to enhance their academic and creative writing through knowledge of sentence types and structure.
I am a licensed English teacher for students in grades 5-12. I have taught sentence diagramming in person and online. It is wonderful to see the progress students make through these exercises! I spent 4 years in a public school classroom, and I have over 2 years of online teaching experience.

Students will complete short writing assignments in between each class. These will each be about a paragraph long. These assignments should not take much more than 30 minutes. Students should send me these assignments before we meet for our next class session.0 - 1 每週課外時間
