Mondays: Saxon Phonics
Wednesdays: Heggerty Phonemic Awareness and some reading
Friday: All reading if the student is ready for this.  I'll do my best to help you source out good fit books so your child will find success.

Teaching Style:
Props and visual aides are used to connect for visual learners.
Singing might happen to connect with auditory learners.
“I do. We do. You do.” is the model of my lessons.


Learner Reading Requirements:
-Learners should know basic letter sounds.  We will work on combinations of letters such as -oi or -igh
-Learners should be ready to put letter sounds together to form CVC words (consonant-vowel-consonant).

Weekly Schedule:
-We will go through a book or poem during each class.
-Consideration of student’s interests may guide our materials
-If you have a book request, I’ll do my best to get that book.


Teaching Style:
-I am patient with struggling readers.  
-I correct gently.
