In this ongoing class, learners will develop speaking and listening skills while enjoying wonderful picture books based on the current season. Each lesson: 5 min--Catch up with each other 15 min--Picture book read-aloud and discussion 5 min--Summary Discussion We will discuss the book as I read, looking at the illustrations and talking about the characters, events, setting, etc. At the end, one learner may choose one or two questions from Sarah MacKenzie's Ten Compelling Questions. Learners will develop empathy and understanding of both fellow class members and characters in the story by relating to their perspectives.
