課堂經歷
Is your student getting exciting about the upcoming season? Is your student eager to discover what each ingredient in a recipe does? Lastly, is your student ready to wow all of their family and friends with delicious recipes that highlight the best ingredients of each season? If so, this seasonal favorites baking class is just what you have been looking for! This ongoing class meets once per week and is a social, baking club. Since it is an ongoing club, students can join the group at any time! Students will learn the basic fundamentals of baking classic recipes while getting to chat and socialize with their fellow baking enthusiasts. In these classes the students will learn skills such as, how to measure wet and dry ingredients, why the temperature of ingredients matters and how to know when their baked goods are done baking. We will also discuss a little of the science behind baking and what role each ingredient plays in our recipes. We will also occasionally learn some fun baking trivia as well! In this class we will be baking seasonal favorites that highlight the most popular (and delicious) ingredients of each season! We will make many familiar favorites/crowd pleasers as well as some more unique and exciting bakes! This class requires some familiarity with baking and using measuring utensils, but I will be walking the students through and explaining each step as we go. In our class we will have many new and fun baking adventures. Most of our recipes are baked "from scratch" and a few will utilize box mixes to speed up the recipe and diversify our bakes. I also love to take baking requests from the students as well and try to incorporate bakes they are interested in making into our curriculum. In an attempt to limit the amount of specific tools or types of baking trays required, I will always try to offer alternatives to expensive baking equipment. This class is fun, engaging and the baked goods are all delicious! I can’t wait to meet your baker and share all of the tips and tricks I have picked up over the years. :) **As our bakes often take some time to bake, our class will usually conclude with students putting their bakes into the oven. They will be provided with instructions on how to know when it is baked and what it should look like. I also ask that they post pictures of their bake so our class can see! :) ** ** Depending on the pace of our learners, sometimes class may run a few minutes over. Class won't conclude until all students are comfortable with how to continue on their own.** ***Possible Allergens*** Many of our recipes will include dairy, eggs, or nuts/ nut butters** Below is the current schedule of recipes for the next few weeks. If you have any questions about what a section will be making, please message me and I can assist. The recipe ingredient list and tool list will be provided before class, so please make sure your student has all of the required items so that they can have a successful baking experience. *IMPORTANT NOTES* Sections that have only 1 registered learner by the Sunday before class will be asked to transfer to another section with more students. Since this social baking club is most fun and successful when there are multiple students present, classes with only one registered learner will not occur. :) **If students want to take class with a sibling or a friend, please make sure to enroll both. In accordance with Outschool's policy, all students who attend class must have an Outschool account and be registered with the platform. :) January 11th Lemon Bars

教師專業知識和證書
I have been baking for over half of my life and it is one of my passions. In addition to being a self taught baker, I have also taken many courses on French baking, cookies, bread, cakes and more. Currently, I run an at home bakery where I bake for many different types of events. I have also been teaching young learners for the last ten years and have loved being able to combine my passion for baking and teaching on the Outschool platform. I can't wait to teach your learner all of the tips and tricks I have picked up throughout the years.
