In this class, the elements of a compelling story will be instructed: Something Unexpected, Relevance and Reliability, Detail, and Emotion. In addition, we will read short paragraphs encapsulating these elements. This class will offer a screenwriting writing dialogue activity, along with an opportunity for learners to read a script together as a class playing their own parts. The class is student-led encouraging creativity and participation! If your learner wants to dive into screenwriting, and get to act themselves, this is the class for them.

Hi guys! My name is Ria Purcell. I am a recent Bachelor's of English graduate of 2023 from Oregon State University. I have been a tutor for three years now. I have worked with all age ranges of students, K-12, and even college level. Law school is my next step in my educational journey, but while law fuels my mind, teaching fuels my soul and truest passion!
I am really looking forward to working with struggling children in terms of their studies. My particular teaching strategies include working with the student one-on-one and motivating them that they can do it! I never had any academic help growing up, so I want to be that person for people that I never had. My particular strengths are in English, Writing, Philosophy, Speech, Reading, Grammar, Reading Comprehension, and Communication. I have also helped many students conquer the GED Test, along with helped a bunch of students in college admissions. I am looking forward to help any students that need assistance in any English courses or even exam or essay preparation!評論
