課堂經歷
In this one time class students will learn the basics of coding using Scratch Junior. We will cover how to open the app and what the buttons mean ( colour coordinated). Scratch jr. allows children that are unable to read to create coding algorithms using the coloured blocks. It is also great for children to begin to code. We will begin by discussing what the app is for, how it works and some key vocabulary such as; sprite, algorithms, blocks, coding, costumes, script etc. We will continue to choose a sprite and choose how we want it to move, next we will work through the different buttons to see what they do and how our script effects the sprite. Then the students will have the opportunity to create a small, scene, story or game using the techniques they have learned. Finally we will share and discuss and obstacles we found.

Students will gain and understanding of basic algorithms, create a script and overcome issues they face within their algorithm. By the end of the lesson most students will have a basic understanding of scratch jr. and coding.其他詳情

I'm Lianne 👋 the director of the organisation, a passionate, caring teacher with a vision for learning through fun and engaging lessons. I am a fully qualified Primary School Teacher and specialise working with children under 7 however, I have plenty of experience working with older children and enjoy boosting children's natural ability when SATs are approaching.
I have been a dance and drama teacher volunteer in the past and hope to bring some of this passion into my teaching. I am currently a work from home mum to 3 young boys and I'm exciting to have this opportunity to share my knowledge and teaching style to guide children to reach their potential.
