This 12-week intermediate Scratch course is designed for young coders who have basic Scratch knowledge and are eager to explore more advanced game mechanics. Each session introduces exciting new concepts like keyboard control, gravity, power-ups, game reset functions, and multi-level design. By the end of the course, learners will have built a portfolio of interactive, high-quality games while strengthening their coding and problem-solving skills. What will be taught? - Advanced Scratch programming concepts (loops, conditionals, variables) - Game mechanics like gravity, power-ups, and scoring systems - Multiplayer game design and player interaction - Game flow control, including resets and multi-level progression Class Structure: - Introduction & Concept Overview (5-10 mins) - Live Coding & Project Building (30-40 mins) - Creative Customization & Debugging (15 mins) - Showcase & Feedback (5 mins) Teaching Style & Interaction: - Hands-on, project-based learning with step-by-step guidance - Live demonstrations & interactive Q&A - Encourages creativity, allowing learners to customize projects - Supportive, engaging environment for all learners
