🚀 One of a Kind Coding & Robotics Camp Get ready for a week of hands-on fun and futuristic learning! This **intermediate-level coding and robotics camp** is perfect for kids who already have a bit of block coding under their belts and are excited to level up. Whether your child is a recent graduate of our **Beginner's Code-a-thon** or a returning coder from another program, this camp bridges the gap between beginner and advanced with a *creative, project-based* approach. 🧠 What makes this camp special? It’s a unique blend of **Scratch coding** and **VEX virtual robotics**, all rolled into one exciting adventure. Campers will explore **AI concepts**, code their own **animations and games**, and program a **virtual robot**—no physical robot required! 💡 What Kids Will Learn: By the end of the week, students will have a solid grasp of: - AI basics and game logic - Event and motion blocks - Repeat and nested loops - Conditionals and sensing blocks - Writing efficient code - Debugging techniques 🗓️ Weekly Syllabus: Day 1 – *Artificial Intelligence I: POKEMON Tennis* Learn basic AI through a fun game using logic, conditions, and smart movement. Day 2 – *Self-Driving Car Test Track* Dive into booleans and conditionals while testing your car on a virtual track! Day 3 – *Fireworks Animation* Use timers, loops, and creative design to bring fireworks to life! Day 4 – *Build a Basic Platformer* Code gravity, collisions, and interactions to create your own side-scrolling platformer. Day 5– *Virtual Robot Programming* Program a robot using loops, functions, and algorithms—all on screen, no hardware needed! --- 🎯 Perfect For: - Kids ages 8–13 who have some experience with Scratch or similar platforms - Campers ready to move beyond the basics into more complex logic and creative coding - Anyone excited about **robotics, animation, AI, and gaming!** --- 🧑🏫 Led by an experienced teacher, each session includes **step-by-step guidance**, hands-on projects, and lots of room for creativity and discovery. ✨ Let your child explore the future of tech in a fun, friendly environment—**sign up today!** --- Want a more casual tone or more formal version too? I can tweak it either way! 👀Teacher may change curriculum based on the experience level of the students in each group. 🦉 If your coder does not any experience on Scratch, please join our beginners Code-a-thon at: https://outschool.com/classes/e09df96c-f137-4f84-8779-83fac45a7c8d?sectionUid=97a84f47-9023-433f-a567-b60f1c4834c0#usNjnhkm9I IMPORTANT NOTES:🤩💻🤓 1. This is a challenging class for coders who already know some Scratch. Students must have experience on Scratch in order to keep up with the projects in this class. 3. Students need an account on Scratch with sharing ability. Please make sure that your child's account is verified prior to our first class. 4. Students will need two (2) devices. One will be used to view the class on Outschool and the other device will be needed to code. The second device must have a keyboard. 5. In order to keep the pace of the class, students must be on time every day 👌🏼😎. If we are too far ahead when a student enters, we may ask the student to stay as an observer and watch the video recording after class. 6. Teachers are not able to answer parent's questions via messages while teaching. Thanks for understanding. 7. As per Outschool Policy: For the safety of all participants, all cameras must be on for the first few minutes of the class session. All students learn at a different pace, I will stop often during the class to ask questions and help students who need help to catch up. By the end of the week, many students will take initiative and move ahead as they develop their expertise using block coding. 🌟ATTENTION TEACHERS***: The names, images, and class descriptions found under my profile are COPYRIGHTED and may NOT be copied or duplicated. 🌟
學習目標
Students will use motion, events, loops, and conditionals to create interactive games and animated projects in Scratch.
Coders will explore simple AI behaviors, such as responding to player actions and simulating decision-making through booleans and sensing blocks.
