In this marine science class, students will work together in an escape room format. The scenario is this - On a scientific research diving mission to a sunken ship, the group suddenly became locked inside the ship. They must find the clues and solve the riddle to escape in 30 minutes. The students will take turns selecting pictures that link to questions covering a variety of marine science and ocean organism concepts. The format of the class will ensure equity of voice, thought, and ideas....

I served as a public school educator for over 26 years. During that time, I specialized in science, math, and STEM engineering design, including coding and robotics through after school programs. After leaving the classroom, I was a science and math instructional coach in the largest school district in my state, working to help teachers improve academic achievement in science and math with their students.
