*****Class Experience*******

      During the summer is a good time to use a tutor to help guide and give support to your child to help them be learning ready at the beginning of the new school year.  Children sometimes need some extra help with reading, spelling, writing, or math so they don't forget what they learned during the previous school year.  Sometimes, just hearing it from someone else who has a different teaching style can be all it takes to get a child over the hump.  I offer a fun-filled 30 minutes of learning helping students to master areas they are weak in.
This (private ongoing) one-on-one tutoring class will be designed specifically for your child around their current need or desire to advance or simply homework assistance. The flexible schedule will allow your child to go from insufficient or sufficient to mastery or advanced in language arts or mathematics on their time and current level of proficiency.   Instruction will be individualized around your child's interests and needs. 
Hi!  My name is Erinn Santore and I have been teaching for 30 years. I have taught in the mainstream classroom, individual and group tutoring, and online both individual and group learning. I enjoy making learning make sense in the easiest way to understand possible.  
Lessons will be developed around your child’s needs and learning style.  I have a plethora of games, visuals, and activities that will make this time enjoyable for your child while they learn. I spend quite a bit of time outside class time, developing a tutoring session that best fits your child's needs.  My goal is to add fun to the learning process to allow the child to relax and enjoy.

Here are the subjects and topics you may choose.
Math- all content in grades 1-6. This may include fractions, multiplication/division, story word problems, addition/subtraction, memorizing facts, telling time, etc.

Language Arts- grammar (parts of speech), spelling, phonics rules, reading, comprehension, and ESL.


Correspondence via the Outschool message center will be made with the parent prior to the first class to determine the course of action needed. 
 
If the schedule provided does not meet your needs, feel free to send me the day and time of what works best for your family. Longer and/or shorter class times may be requested also. We will find a way for your child to succeed.

Cancellation Policy:  I must have a class cancellation request 24 hours prior notice before the start of class. I accept up to 3 cancellations in a six-month period as long as they are at least 24 hours before class time. If your child misses a class, I will do my best to work with you to try to make up the class sometime during the week or on Sunday, but a neither a refund nor a cancellation will be granted.  A make-up class is not guaranteed due to my teaching load because it is very hard to find a time to make it up.  I do not use regularly scheduled open time slots as make up slots.  Those are reserved for new students that are enrolling.  If your child is enrolled, that specific time is the one I have set aside for your child.
