Class will begin with a brief discussion to assess what the students already know about college fees and options to pay for college. This class will be most beneficial to students who have some knowledge of college, how many years it takes to complete and how expensive it may be, but that is not required. At the end of class, students will have resources to help them continue searching and applying for scholarships on their own. They'll also have information about how grants and loans can help them pay for college.
I am credentialed in the state of California to teach English and other related topics. I was trained in and have taught AVID, a college and career preparation course, to multiple grades. This lesson has been taught by me to students in public school as young as 11 years old; I had them researching and applying for scholarships they were eligible for. In high school I started winning scholarships for college.
