What is a noun? What are common vs. proper nouns? Can you list some examples of nouns (both common and proper)? After answering these questions, we will begin our three scavenger hunts. In the first scavenger hunt, students will find nouns in a photo. In the second one, students will find nouns in sentences. Parents are encouraged to be nearby in case your student needs help reading the sentences (silently), locating items in the house, or if there are any issues (i.e. technology, etc.) that might need to be addressed. Students are encouraged to have a water bottle in case they get thirsty during the final scavenger hunt. Please make sure your child knows how to find and use the Mute/Unmute button. There are times when a student’s background is noisy. Their mic will be muted by the teacher so the class and the learning and thinking processes are not disrupted. Your student will then have to unmute their mic in order to talk. Zoom will not allow teachers to unmute mics anymore. *Each child must be registered to attend the class; however, siblings/friends can share a screen to participate in the class.
