俄語初學者

In this comprehensive 10-week course, students will master beginning Russian language skills and discover the world of Russian culture!  Beginning language learners need a rock-solid foundational knowledge base that includes grammar, vocabulary, and conjugation.  It is also important for students to enjoy a well-rounded learning experience, and have more context built into their lessons.  Culture will be incorporated into each week's lessons including folklore, pop culture, history, music, art, food, etc.  

Each week, students will attend two live classes (one hour each) where we will use our text as a springboard to further our Russian language skills.  Additionally, I offer office hours live meetings that are reserved for students in this class once per week where we can work individually on homework questions, reading, writing, pronunciation, and speaking skills.  Office hours and individual time with students enables me to ensure no student falls behind.

Week 2: I want

Week 4: Weekends
Week 5: Where do you live?
Week 6: At home
Week 7: What do you like to eat?
Week 8: Let's go to a restaurant and visiting
Week 9: Family
Week 10: What do we look like?

Classes will consist of periods of lecture, activities, conversation, and hopefully FUN!  I have a laid back personality and I enjoy teaching and joking with students.  I love what I do and I hope it inspires your students to enjoy their studies and life.  Students will be assigned homework at the conclusion of each class period.  Homework will consist of written and typed exercises from the text and activities such as using their Russian in daily life or watching short videos.  The pace of the class is set by the learning of the students.  Some lessons take longer than others to master, and some classes move at faster pace than others.
