課堂經歷
During this one-time class, students will meet a roller coaster engineer and discover the science and engineering behind amusement park rides! Students will have the opportunity to go "under the hood" and learn about some of the fascinating methods engineers use to make roller coasters fun, fast, and safe to ride. Specifically, we will discuss the way electricity and magnets are used to engineer propulsion systems that allow for unique roller coaster experiences that traditional rides cannot offer. Additionally, learners will be introduced to a variety of types of roller coasters and the engineering questions that inform decisions around their design, such as budget, rider experience, and maintenance requirements. As the teacher, I will guide students through their adventure by discussing some of the most popular and innovative rides in the world, and lead interactive demonstrations of various science and engineering concepts using only our hands. At the end, students will have the opportunity to design their own roller coaster! This class is a great way to nurture and encourage interest in STEM through the joy and thrill of amusement park rides. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you are brand new to Outschool, message me for a promo code! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
