In this 4-week beginner-friendly course, students aged 7-12 will get their first introduction to Lua scripting in Roblox Studio. They will learn how to use simple scripts to make their games more interactive—creating buttons, moving platforms, power-ups, and other fun gameplay elements. Each week, students will build on their knowledge by applying scripting concepts to their own platformer-style game. By the end of the course, they will have a playable game with interactive features that they can share with friends. ✨ What You’ll Learn: • Basic Lua scripting and how it controls game interactions • Using scripts to create buttons, moving platforms, and power-ups • Understanding events and triggers to make the game respond to players • Designing and testing a simple platformer game with interactive features 🚀 Why This Class? This course isn’t just about learning to script—it’s about becoming a game developer. Students will gain confidence in programming, problem-solving, and creative thinking as they bring their ideas to life. By the end of the course, they will have a strong foundation in scripting that will prepare them for more advanced game mechanics. 💻 Requirements: Active Roblox account Roblox Studio installed on a Windows or Mac computer Computer mouse (recommended for easier navigation) 📝 Note: This course is designed for beginners with no prior scripting experience. Basic familiarity with Roblox Studio’s building tools is helpful but not required. Please ensure Roblox Studio is installed and working before the class.
