Who likes hatching eggs? Playing hide-and-seek? Saving up money to buy a vehicle? Collecting Neons? This class is for you! Playing Roblox: Adopt Me! is a fun way for anyone--boys or girls--to learn social skills, make new friends and more! Students will play Adopt Me! during our time on a private server. The only people who have access to the server will be myself, students in this class and my own children who are between the ages of 8 and 12, who may occasionally join in when their schedule allows. Students must have a Roblox account before our meeting time. Please send me your learner's username in a private message so I can add them to the server. Please do not share usernames on the classroom discussion board. I will share my username so your learner can add me as a friend. I will "unfriend" all learners after each meeting. I will play the game with students and monitor the game closely. Every game will be played on a private server. While in our meeting, students can use another device to play Roblox if they wish, and every student is required to stay on Zoom during class so we can talk together and discuss the game! If there is only one learner, I will still gladly keep the meeting time! I have had many 1:1 Roblox classes and the learners really have a fun time! It is recommended to have a device for the Zoom meeting and a separate device for playing on Roblox: Adopt Me!
When you enroll, please send me your learner's username so I can add them to the server.
During game play, students will be able to add each other as friends in class.
On Zoom, please add student's name and username.

Hello! My name is Casey and it is so nice to meet you!
Your student will have fun learning with me in my calm, encouraging and engaging classroom! I will be teaching art classes, social clubs, Roblox, ESL, preschool and book clubs. Learners are always encouraged to ask questions and participate in my classes, and laughing is almost always guaranteed.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Art History and Drawing. I have several years teaching and tutoring experience of students ages 2 to 70+ in a wide variety of subjects such as art, math, Spanish and ESL.
I am a certified yoga instructor and am very calm and relaxed. I laugh a lot and like to make others laugh, which is probably why I was voted Class Clown in high school. I have taught over 1000 ESL (English as a Second Language Classes) in the last year which mostly consists of making small talk, so I am an Official Small Talk Expert and can get anyone to chat with me. When I was a kid, I was very shy (until the those "Class Clown" years), so I can relate to introverted and extroverted students. Students tell me that I put them at ease, that I make learning fun, and that they can be themselves in my class.
When I am not teaching, I love reading and spending time with my family. I enjoy YA novels and mystery, as well as non-fiction history and science books. I have three girls under the age of 14, a Boston Terrier, two snails and a betta. I also have too many houseplants, but can usually still find room for one more. I enjoy all sorts of arts and crafts and practicing yoga.
All of my classes are ESL friendly. All of my classes can be offered as 1:1 classes. If you don't see a time that works for you, send me a request and I will do my best to accommodate your schedule.評論
