Students will: 
-identify and write the different types of sentences.
-identify and use prepositional phrases to expand sentences.
-learn formulas to assist in writing different types of paragraphs.
-use time words and chronological order to write an expository paragraph.
-use facts to write a narrative paragraph.
-establish pros and cons to write persuasive paragraphs.
-use adjectives to vividly describe people, places, things and events.
-successfully write basic paragraphs.

With over thirty decades of classroom teaching experience, I have engaged in tutoring, mentoring, and educating students across diverse subject areas. However, my passion consistently gravitates towards English Language Arts, with a particular focus on writing. Throughout my career, I have not only taught writing as a standalone subject but have also shared writing strategies with my peers through presentations and workshops.

If students do not finish their paragraph for that day, they will be expected to finish it and be prepared to show/submit it to the instructor.

On the fourth day, students will write a paragraph of their choice and submit it to the instructor.  The instructor will provide feedback via email through the Outschool platform.

At the end of each class, students should have a complete paragraph written. If the paragraph is not finished during class time, the student will be required to finish it after class.

On the fourth day, students will be required to write a paragraph and submit it for scoring.

A rubric will be used to complete an informal assessment to give students feedback at the end of the week.
