美國 Pre-Kindergarten - 2 年級
In this 18-week course, we will use Dianne Craft’s Right-Brain Sight Words method to help students learn and remember sight words in a fun, visual way. Each week, students will focus on three new sight words from the kindergarten Dolch list, combining engaging stories and images to support word retention. This method is especially ideal for dyslexic and struggling readers, as it taps into right-brain strengths such as visual memory, creativity, and pattern recognition. Classes will begin with a review of the previous week’s words, using visual cards and storytelling to reinforce what students have learned. Through interactive games and activities, students will practice associating words with colorful images and details, building their confidence as readers. We will also explore how to create personalized sight word cards, allowing students to make their own visual aids to practice at home. At the end of each class, students will practice reading sentences that include the week’s sight words, focusing on building fluency and recalling the images in their minds. This creative and engaging approach is perfect for right-brained learners, particularly those who struggle with traditional reading methods. For this class, students will need blank notecards and colored pencils to create their own sight word decks to reinforce learning at home. No prior experience necessary—just come ready to explore the world of reading through right-brain strategies!
